The Sippican Historical Society is offering a scholarship

MARION – The Sippican Historical Society is seeking applicants for its annual Judith Westlund Rosbe History Fellowship. The scholarship was established to further the mission of the Sippican Historical Society: to preserve three centuries of unique Marion history and build community by fostering interest in its cultural and architectural heritage.

The $1,250 scholarship is awarded annually to a senior from Old Rochester Regional High School who lives in Marion and hopes to study history at the college/university level. Eligible applicants must submit a paper, with a minimum of 800 words, or project on a historical subject. Research evidence in the archives of the Sippican Historical Society is particularly desirable. Local history topics are of particular interest to the scholarship committee.

Applicants must also submit a recommendation from an ORR history professor and a completed information form which can be found at sippicanhistoricalsociety.org.

Applications for the 2022 Judith W. Rosbe History Fellowship must be received no later than May 16 and can be mailed to Sippican Historical Society, 141 Front St., Marion MA 02738 or email [email protected] org.
