Sacred Heart inducts members of the Honor Society

The Sacred Heart School section of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) and the National Honor Society (NHS) recently hosted a joint induction ceremony for 53 new members.

The ceremony, held at the Chapel of the Sacred Heart, inducted 22 students in grades 6 through 8 at the NJHS and 31 students in grades 9 through 12 at the NHS.

The inductees were selected on the basis of their service, leadership, citizenship and character. Inductees must have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Including the newly inducted class, 34 students are members of the NJHS and 56 students are part of the NHS at Sacred Heart School.

The purpose of the NJHS and the NHS is to create enthusiasm for scholarships, to stimulate a desire to be of service, to promote leadership and good citizenship, and to develop the character of students at Sacred Heart School.

Current Principal Inductees: Adelynn Hunsaker, Kaytlin Kempf, Lucas Martin, John Ulbrich.

Incoming Senior Inductee: Alexandria Finney.

Incoming Junior Inductees: Miguel Alejo, Stephen Belles, Cade Brown, Kate Carney, Caitlin Carrico, Alexis Chappell, Laura Granados, Michael Marquez, Jordan Hill, Mariana Restrepo, Emma Siron, Elijah Smeltzer, Abby Tippie, Jaden Velado, Osvaldo Martinez-Garcia .

Second year inductees: Spencer Aeschbacher, Samantha Altena, Ellie Coruna, Brooke Epple, Ximena Lopez, Jackson Manning, Jack Schroeder, Reuben Smith, Shea Smith, Mariah Van Leer.

Freshman Induction: Riley Bradley.

Eighth year inductees: Cassidy Bentch, Ebrinn Cahill, Delaney Grose, Logan Howell, Emilee Jackson, Thomas Jenkins, Austin Perez, James Russell, Anthony Sierra, Max Van Leer, David Gutierrez Talamantes.

Seventh-year inductees: Emily Alvarado-Ruiz, Kieran Cahill, Paisley Carl, Kingston Castanedo, Juliet Conant, Lauren Diller, Kyler Downing, Katherine Kehl, Kynslee Prewitt, Rylie Schlarb, Jacob Velando.
