The Los Alamos Historical Society invites applications for its annual Los Alamos History Prize.
Members of society, residents of the community and other interested persons people are invited to submit nominations. The 2021 recipient was a longtime one volunteer, tour guide and author John Ruminer.
This is an annual award that recognizes someone who has done important work contribution to the preservation of the moving history of our community. Factors that weigh heavily in consideration for the price include the depth and breadth of achievement over time, volunteer engagement and lasting impact. Both both individuals and organizations are eligible.
Posthumous awards are not made, and self-nominations are not permitted. The Los Alamos Historical Board of Directors The company selects the winner; therefore, staff and board members are not eligible during their active service.
The Los Alamos Historical Society strives to recognize those who have passed and beyond to preserve and/or share the remarkable history of this community and region. The prize is awarded annually, assuming the selection of a suitable candidate(s).
Nomination forms can be downloaded by visiting losalamoshistory.orgby clicking the menu button, then Programs, then History Awards. Submission deadline nominations is September 18, 2022. Forms should be returned to the Society office at Fuller Lodge or emailed to [email protected].
