Letter: January 6 committee fires on Trump

In response to The Lima News July 27 letter from Charles Thomas, the protesters were unarmed. There was only one person murdered, and that was Ashi Babbitt, by the Capitol Police.

Did President Trump propose the National Guard? Did Speaker of the House Pelosi, who is responsible for Capitol security, turn it down? What was Ray Epp’s program? Was the FBI inciting protesters to enter the Capitol? Have uniformed police invited protesters into the Capitol? Was there a far-left group that had previously planned and initiated this event? Is the January 6 committee a puppet court just to get Trump?

There are so many questions the January 6 committee could investigate.

Democrats only have problems when the protesters are Trump supporters. On October 14, 2021, environmental extremists invaded the Home Office building, repelling police and sending one to hospital.

In June 2020, President Trump and his family were sent to the secure bunker, as a group of protesters marched through White House barricades.

In 2011, the Wisconsin State Capitol was filled with screaming protesters who were against the budget reparations bill.

In March 2021, the Portland Federal Courthouse was set on fire by Antifa thugs.

In July 2013, thousands of pro-abortion rioters occupied the Texas Capitol to blockade the Senate.

In September 2018, during Brett Kavanaugh’s hearings, protesters broke through police lines at the Senate and Supreme Court. A group also took over part of the Hart Senate office building.

In 1983, a left-wing terrorist group planted a bomb outside the Senate, causing million-dollar damage.
