BUSTI – The Busti Historical Society will be hosting their first Summerfest event on Sunday June 27th.

All members of the community are invited to the company grounds from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Summerfest takes place rain or shine.

With the cancellation of the annual Busti Apple Fest in 2020, the Busti Historical Society began to think about ways to deliver an event in 2021 that would both fill the fundraising gap while creating a way to celebrate the 4 July.

Planning began last August, with the uncertainty of COVID regulations. With recent changes in state regulations regarding gatherings, Summerfest can be safely held.

The Summerfest will feature over 30 artisan and local vendors, along with a variety of dining options and activities.

A Civil War encampment of the 111th PA Volunteer Infantry will be present at Summerfest.

Mr. D’s and 3 C’s Catering food trucks will be on site. Merrit Estate Winery will also offer wine slushies.

The Busti Grist Mill will be open to visitors and tours will be arranged of the Miller House, renovated to represent a Victorian era home.

Dan Ward of the 111th PA Volunteer Infantry & Wiedrich’s Battery will organize a Civil War encampment, with cannon.

Admission is $ 5 for people 12 and over. No animals please.

Entrance to the parking lot will be on Sugar Grove Road and Lawson Road.
